I can send you the cans (oil-based enamel) if you'd like to check, :-) but there's no way the purple is lead paint. The U.S. CPSC banned lead paint for residential use in 1978. I really doubt that Bluebird was using lead paint for schoolbuses (even though they're not residential) in 1986. Pretty sure I'm safe on this one.
