If they made a mistake that costs them a few thousand dollars because of their mistake it wouldn't hurt them one bit but it would have been the right thing to do. You are right that with these big companies there is no pressure the little guy can do to make a change. I recently had a similar incident with Paypal, it's their way or the highway...
