I did it with a large paper clip (cut in two) and wedged them under the two leaf springs. I used a push pin to "start" the holes where I got the paperclips in. (The far left and far right tab areas shown up close in your photo of the magnet over one of the leaf springs.) From now on I'm paying more attention when checking out!!
