Hearts 4 Him -- I Know How to Say Thank You
Week 1 -- Capture
Full
recording from rehearsal
Notes
Intonation
- Yoder: As the soloist sings "grace" (3:09), the first part of "ahhh" has a
pitch issue.
- Yoder, JB: Watch pitches on high "thank you" (3:17), "thank" (3:40),
"thank" (3:47), "thank" (4:13).
Timing
- Keith, Yoder, JB: At 2:17, the high "ahhh -- ahhh" -- the first one is
always late in at least one voice, in this case a lower voice.
Pronunciation
Dynamics
- Keith: This is the first time I have ever heard the chorus quiet
enough to support rather than overwhelm the soloist (and I mean even when I'm
running the mixer), and it's gorgeous! The second chorus is starting to get a
little louder then the soloist already and the balance shifts even further on
the repeat. You have to remember to be the canvas -- even though
the music swells and increases in intensity, you can't increase in volume
because Yoder's single voice has to dominate the vocal sound.
